Virtus.pro to compete in The International qualifiers in Western Europe

The Virtus.pro Dota 2 roster will play in the open qualifiers for The International in the Western Europe region.
Georgy “drAmer” Faleev, Head of Dota 2 at Virtus.pro:
“We initially intended to play in Western Europe — MESWA falls under this region, and we aligned our bootcamp and schedule accordingly. The recent invite distribution just happened to go public before we made our plans official. Three of our five players live in Western Europe, so we see no reason to change direction. We’re moving forward with our initial strategy and will play in WEU, starting from the open qualifiers."
While the core of our roster competed this season in the MESWA region, the Esports World Cup qualifiers in MESWA overlap with The International qualifiers in Eastern Europe. To participate in both of the biggest events of the season, we carefully structured our schedule, prioritized commitments, and crafted a plan that allows the team to fight for both slots without scheduling conflicts.
